But, what are they?
They are the identification numbers for electricity and gas meters, connected to a dwelling. There is one for the electricity meter and another for the gas meter. Both of these numbers, the PDL (delivery point) and PCE (estimated counting point) are composed of 14 digits. The PDL is the unique identifier for the electricity meter and the PCE is the equivalent for the gas meter. Since these numbers are connected to a dwelling, should you change address, the numbers will change also.
What are they used for?
The PDL and PCE numbers allow us to identify your home more accurately than with your address. In particular, if you live in collective housing, the PDL and PCE numbers are essential to differentiate your apartment from that of your neighbour.

- when changing energy supplier
Where to find your PDL and PCE?
Your PDL and PCE numbers are easily identifiable on:
- the electricity and gas bill from the previous tenant, when moving house
- your current energy bill, when changing supplier
