When and how to send your meter reading?

Regardless of your energy supplier and your billing method, it is obligatory to have a meter reading carried out at least once per year.

WHEN ?

You can check the date of your next meter reading:

On your bill

The date is indicated on the first page, in the center, under the payment amount. To interpret your EDF bill, go to the dedicated page understand my bill.

From your online account

Get connected and easily find all information on your dashboard.

HOW ?

Check the date of your next meter reading or the next date an Enedis technician will call, on your bill from your online account or contact an EDF adviser by telephone on +33 (0)9 69 36 63 83 (price of a local call within France) from 8am to 8pm, Monday to Saturday.

You can read your meter yourself:

  • Occasionally: you wish to subscribe or cancel your contract, you were absent when a technician called.
  • On a regular basis: you wish to be billed as accurately as possible and to avoid estimates.

How to locate your meter ?

1. Cupboards

Your meter may be hidden in different rooms in your home! Have you opened your cupboards?

2. Case

Your meter may be stored in a case on one of your walls. Maybe in your garage or at the entrance of your house?

3. Outside

You cannot find your meter in your house? It may be outside, mounted to a low wall!
